Meet Dr. Matson

Dr. Phil Matson, DDS, MS, is a board-certified pediatric dentist in Round Rock, TX and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry — a distinction earned by only a small percentage of dentists nationwide. He has practiced pediatric dentistry for 11 years, first in Central Austin and now at his own practice in Round Rock, caring for children from a baby’s very first visit through the teenage years.

Dr. Matson grew up in Washington state, where he attended the University of Washington for both his undergraduate degree and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After dental school, he and his wife, Meghan, moved to Texas so he could continue his training at the Texas A&M Health Sciences College of Dentistry, earning his Master’s in Oral Biology and his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry.

My daughter didn't want to leave even after the appointment was over. The dental hygienist was so skillful and patient with my 2 year old. The dentist was amazing!! He was great with my 2 year old and so so knowledgeable, overall he was very pleasant to engage with! The front office staff was great as well! Everything was quick and efficient. Dr. Matsen is great with his patients and his staff is great too, from verifying your insurance and appointment reminders, no issues at all!  Very refreshing compared to other offices. Dr. Matson is so good at explaining things to my son and very gentle with his teeth cleaning. He answers all of our questions, his staff is superb, and my son receives a little surprise at the end of each visit. They have great toys in the lobby for his age (we stayed for an extra 15min to play in the lobby after our visit was over), fun themed patient rooms, and overall relaxed environment. Directions to Destination Pediatric Dentistry

Destination Pediatric Dentistry is only a short drive from Leander, TX

Head South: Start by heading south on N US Hwy 183 for a very short distance.
Turn Left on Ranch Road 2243: Look for the first cross street and make a left turn onto Ranch Rd 2243/Ranch to Market Rd 2243/E South St. This is a key road for this route.
Stay on Ranch Road 2243: Continue following Ranch Rd 2243/Ranch to Market Rd 2243 for approximately 3.2 miles. You’ll see some beautiful Texas scenery along the way.
Turn Right on Co Rd 175: After about 3 miles, you’ll need to turn right onto Co Rd 175. This is a more rural road, so be prepared for some twists and turns.
Turn Left onto RM 1431 E: Stay on Co Rd 175 for about 4.3 miles, then make a left turn onto RM 1431 E.
Final Turns: In just a short distance, you’ll make two quick left turns. After the second left, then Destination Pediatric Dentistry will be on your right-hand side.
